Finally got to see this excellent movie - Is there any justice in this world? Not ashamed to say I cried.

Yes Ian! - I just watched it last weekend.
Great film - and what a REAL artist the man is.
After being continually ripped off for four decades of ALL of his millions in record sales income, he finally gets massive full houses, and gives all the money away.

Totally inspiring artist - and an amazing human being.
Contrast him to Kanye and all of the modern day greedy narcissists...

The big thing I took away is - its ALL about the work - and NOTHING to do with ego=money=success.
My kinda artist.

My 24 year old son saw it last year and couldn't stop raving about it. Asked if I knew of him back in the day, went out and bought his records on vinyl. It really kicked on his interest in the music, stories and artists of the 70's.

I think I've watched it a dozen times.
I grew up with Cold Fact in my mother's record collection. I'm not sure why she had it but I'm glad she did.
I saw him play in Dublin in 2007 in a small 100 seater venue and it was awesome.
Great humble artist.

It is a terrific film!

On a much sadder note, the director of it committed suicide about a year after winning an oscar award for best documentary. There really is no justice in the world. :(
