Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd share will you will my last 12-18months. I have been setting up a new studio for a client. It's now open & ready for clients. I did all the wiring, installed all the acoustic treatment ( I even made some as well) , had rack units made up & did finish a little bit of the building work after the builder went under. I'll try & post some pictures when I can get some wifi & my laptop.

Ok, so when I was first contacted by the owner the control room was based around a TOFT32 but after the slab & frame went up he bought a SSL 4040E which has been sitting in a unopened box for 3-5years. So to cut a long story short it wouldn't fit between the CR door & a wall to the bar so I had to cut a hole in the side of the CR to fit the console into the CR. The SSL has to be one of the cleanest looking boards I have every seen. No rips or cracks in the arm rest. Out of 40 ch strips only 2 needed a little work (thanks Rob & Warren Hux). Also a slate card in the Master Section needed work as well. The owner also bought a Atomic PSU which is amazing & way less noisy than the original SSL one. All in all a very smooth install which had the potential to go way wrong!
