Hey does anyone know anything about cd track names?
Ive been having people say that the track names are not coming up on there computer. Im using wavelabs, putting the track names into the "CD Text" Space, any hidden trick?

In my experience, very few PC music player apps read CDTEXT. They seem to favor Gracenote or other online solutions. CDTEXT is mostly useful for standalone (home hifi/car audio) systems, and even then it's maybe less than half of those that will read it.

I'll second that - CD Text is recognised by very few players and pretty much never shows up on a computer. It's basically not worth the trouble.

Hi Zarven, as Andrew implies you have to "submit" your track names to a data base like Gracenote. Track names entered into your burning software will only appear on some standalone players as already mentioned.
You can submit directly to Gracenote or do it through iTunes. Once you track names are in the data base, the names will appear in a computer based player as long as it is connected to the Internet.

Ok great thank guys. I had some clients that were complaing about the track names not coming up and could do much about it.....
