Just for peoples info I thought I would give the heads up on this B/S! Its NOT a Neumann and has no Neumann parts......... :ar!

well - i wouldn't buy this, particularly at that price.

it does however look to have some original neumann parts - the base and body of the microphone is, not sure about the grill.

the shockmount and inside mounting parts look original too, not the capsule nor electronics.

The blue story is long and complicated , the press release 30 years ago was they found 50 neumann mics in russia somewhere that had been in a flood or something and rebuilt them to be reliable , thus the original serial number .



the general assumption amongst the usual suspects is actually none of those mics or their parts ever saw the inside of the neumann factory including the badges .

but it launched blue and red and the rest of them into the world and blue started out with some of the greatest new microphones you could buy . couldn't say what about what i think about the newer ones , i have never tried them .

these old bullshit blue mics do the eBay circuits after the buyers find out that they don't have what they thought they have , but all reports that i believe and trust is they sound fine anyway .
