Posted: Sat Nov 11, 2017 7:45 pmHe's in Newcastle, which is almost as far as Sydney from where my studio is. I did actually try him first though, because I know him, but he isn't taking any new clients right now. Too busy otherwise.
Seems like there's a real gap in the market here. Or maybe this is just an indication of how small that market really is.

Post or couriers are your friend.
There are no techs anywhere near where I am - so I post everything to be maintained all over the country.
(except tube gear - which I drive it 800kms to my fave tube guru)
There is no free lunch with all of this hard to repair gear.
