Studer A800/ A80 head swap.

Hi all, I bought a set of NOS 16 track A800 heads that were advertised as being A80 heads. Doh! Or maybe not?
I have heard that it is possible to put A800 heads in an A80 (mine is a MkII) with some modification of the repro cards, but I'm having difficulty finding out anything more about this and what it might entail.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
The A800 heads in question are;
Record 316.370
Repro 316.375
Erase is a Woelke split head.
