Bluetooth/wireless mic for ipad

The scenario... boardroom with big screen for teleconferencing, video is handled via skype/ipad. Ipad is set up at the end of the room so the inbuilt camera can capture the entire table (it's a big room). The inbuilt mic is ok but it's a long way from the table and obviously the audio quality suffers. I'd like to be able to plonk a remote mic in the middle of the table to improve clarity for the person on the other end of the Skype call. I'm sure there must be a simple solution but I've had a good look around and I can't find what I'm after.

I could go wired but wireless is greatly preferred. Any ideas/recommendations?

Something like this:

but I reckon there would be a way to use an iPhone as a bluetooth (or wifi) remote mic too.....

Thanks Ian, I did see those and wondered if they'll work with Skype - but I'll check them out.

From experience my iPad doesn't play nicely with non Apple Bluetooth devices.

For instance my HTC 10 Android phone is recognised but will not connect to my iPad via Bluetooth.

It is likely this is just Apple not allowing connectivity with an Android device but unless you can actually confirm whatever you choose is going to work before you buy it you may be wasting your money.

Yeah I've heard that about iPad apps not playing nice with non-apple BT hardware, but 3rd party apps (like Skype) are supposed to be a bit more friendly.

Thinking anyway that these devices - being essentially lapel mics - are probably not going to be a huge improvement over the inbuilt mic.

.... if it's a teleconference then all you need is an iPhone with a good mic - dial it into the conference and put it in the middle of the table - voila - you could even record the conference on the voice memos app on the iPhone. Things don't all have to be smart and sync'd.
