i'm on a quest for some new, vastly better monitors and have identified from much forum reading that ATC is one of the brands i should check out
however it seems the only places that stock them are in Sydney so hearing them is a bit of a challenge
Is anyone aware of any places in Melb that use ATCs (specifically the scm 20) where i might be able to hear some in action?

Re: ATC monitors in Melb
Sorry to be late on the scene, but yes, I have been working may way up the ATC food chain. Although staying with only sealed cabinet models.
Started with very old SCM12's, then updated those to a more current SCM12, albeit the domestic version. Then upgraded to the consumer SCM19's which I am currently using until an opportunity comes long to step across to the pro series SCM20. The 19's do have the famed Super Linear woofer of the pro series.
I have just moved out to Reservoir, and have a rudimentary lounge room set up. But the ATC SCM19's are up and running with a Classe Audio Model Twenty Five amplifier, very similar to, but slightly more refined than the Bryston 4B, which it replaced.
Jim, you are welcome to come have a listen.
