Listen to Tomita, listen to "Brain Salad Surgery", listen to "Clockwork Orange" (hell, listen to " CLOCKWORK BLACK"), listen to almost anything under the rubric "Prog Rock", and then remember the man who innovated synthesizers. (taken from toolband.com)

"I'm an engineer. I see myself as a toolmaker and the musicians are my customers. They use my tools." - R.A. Moog

"Switched on Bach" was amongst my first ever memories of recorded music.

While Mr Moog was best known for the synths that carry his name, he was of course of broader influence than just that - as any theremin player knows!

RIP indeed

What a guy! He could sense the electrons moving through his circuitry!
He understood the connections between a musician, their instrument, and the soul!
We will not see his like again.
