I know this is not really audio gear oriented question as such, but was just wandering if anyone knows of someone who would be able to repair a Roland mono-synth (SH-2), preferrably in Sydney.
Looking for someone who actually cares about electronics/synths/audio to do the repairs.
The problem is some occassional distortion/crackling that sounds electrical. Im not quite brave enough to go digging around inside it just yet. It happens everytime I tap the synth lightly. Sometimes it doesnt play up though...
Hope someone can help....
Cheers!

Try Hutchins keyboards in Sydney ( I assume that they are still around) or as a last resort you could try Watson Electronics in Brisbane (Sumner Park), both these guys know their Rolands. Darryl at Watson's services my stuff more as a favour these days as he has heaps of work to do and the old analogue gear is very time consuming for them. You can only ask!
Good luck

Thanks for the replys!
I was a bit reluctant to go to phase engineering, as I have taken some Boss guitar pedals to them before and they never really fixed the problems.
Will look into Hutchins keyboards....
Cheers!
