Klemt Echolette Tape Echo Repair

Postby em.T » Tue May 04, 2010 6:15 pm

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post to these forums, and I have a service question. I acquired a Klemt Echolette "S" tube tape delay, and would like get it in tip top nick. Does anyone know someone in the Sydney local area who is great with Tubes, Tapes and Amps?

I have been scouring the net, and found a few possibles, but no one has got back to me, so they must be old dead ends that I found. I also tried searching these forums and found some leads, but haven't been able to make them into anything firm yet.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Thanks,

Michael

Aw. Still no one :(

I love the sound of this thing in its current, not so great shape. I really want it to be nice and fixed. If anyone can think of a tech head capable of cleaning this up I sure would be appreciative...

I cleaned it on the outside and it went all shiny and gold. But needs its innards seen to.

Hi Rob,

Yes, I have a fresh tape loop (I got a 5 pack sent down from somewhere in the UK a while ago). I thought you might be a great option, but I thought I would check locally first.

ps. That Lomo preamp you are working on is for yours truly also. How is it coming? I hope it hasn't turned into the bane of your existence :-p

sure, always go local where you can

the lomo is almost there...waiting on the front panel to come back from the engravers...it will be cool and worth the wait!
