hey guys,
anyone had much experience with these having no bottom end and a horrible whistle ring in the tone.
I am assuming the diaphragm is wrecked but I wana know if anyone has had any experience with attempting to fix them, know if anyone in oz can do it AND.. if its worth getting done or is it just gonna cost me as much as it would to buy a new one.

I bought mine ages ago but just assumed it wasn't possible to fix and I that had been ripped off. Always got plenty of use out it though for weird lofi stuff haha

To be honest sort of want to fix if possible so i could potentially sell it if need be!
cheers
Matt

It could be as simple as replacing a tiny capacitor.
You should send it to Rob for an assessment.
It's definitely worth getting looked at.
If it's the capsule it probably isn't worth the trouble though.
Hope it works out Matt!

Hi, I believe ( I could be wrong here) that the capsule in the d19 suffers from the same problem as the d12, in that they can go out of alignment and that makes the frequency response go out of wack. It doesn't necessarily mean that the capsule is toast.
There is a procedure for sorting out d12s here. http://groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=33755.0
Maybe this could be applied to a d19 as well?
Cheers, Paul
