Auto/Dual release for MXR 136

Hi all, I'm wondering if it might be possible to add a switch for a second (slower) release constant to an MXR 136 Dual Limiter, in the style of ADR f600 etc, so that when switched out, operation is normal, release is controlled only by the release pot, and when switched in, the first say, 6db of release is governed by the release pot, and subsequent release is controlled by the slower release switched components.
I hope I'm expressing that coherently.
Here is a link to the schem.

Any thoughts?

the standard auto release circuit adds an additional timing cap in series with a resistor in parallel to the existing timing cap. In essence adding a very slow attack / release timing. Thus long sustained peaks can charge up this cap and thus pull the unit into GR while shorter peaks don't charge it up minimising it's timing influence.

Thanks Rob, that's what I thought.
I wasn't sure if the usual timing circuits apply with MXR's pulse width modulation circuit.
I think the MXR could go from FX spanker to actually musical and lovely with a dual release.

ah, I was being general. From a quick look at the MXR circuit you could replace R24 with a series R and C

Thanks Rob, sounds something for me to play with over the Christmas lull.
