Guys , i need advice on what fabric to use to cover traps - has to be fairly tough and have good fire rating.

I'd recommend a commercial furnishing fabric as they're tough and are usually fire rated. You could try this company - Woven Image:

The other option is to find a fabric you like and then have it treated with a fire retardent, there are companies that specialise in this:

To treat a small area of fabric you could use a spray on product like this:

If the fabric is for bass traps then you can go with just about any fabric as it will be acoustically transparent at low frequencies.

If you use cotton or even better, wool, it is fairly fire resistant anyway.
