speaker wire guage for 100w guitar speaker.

hey guys,

any idea what the best guage for a speaker wire would be for a 100W 1x12 speaker cab im building
Also, its not gonna make much diff what brand i get i take it...?

The wire inside most guitar cabs is pretty light. I wired mine up with the speaker wire DSE used to sell, with the transparent orangey sleeving. It's heavier than the average head to cab cable and cost me less than $10 to do my quad. The stuff they sell now is shit btw, the sleeving is really stiff but I'm sure Jaycar would sell something similar. Failing that, you can't go wrong with the good old chopped up 240V extension lead.

I used Van Den Hul CS-122 12.5G on my CAE 1x12 100W cabs (I had 2 cabs for stereo setup) - they had Celestion Heritage 100 Watters in them..
