Hi guys

I've just ordered 3 x Uher M534 with 3 pin DIN from eBay Germany and am keenly awaiting their delivery... Was wondering if anyone on here might either know the pinout, or already own one that has an XLR on it and could open it and have a look?

Googling brought a few results, but nothing definite...

Thanks!
Gary.

Hi Gary,
Welcome to the forum... I'm nowhere near my uher mics but this should be relatively easy to sort out. First find the connection that has continuity to the case, this should be ground. If you can't find a contatact with connection to the case peel back the first part of the cable and find the contact that connects to the shield of the mic cable. (These are terminating to a cable with the DIN plug on the end right?)
Then all you have to do is find out the phase of the other two contacts and this is easy enough. Connect them up anyway you like and then record a nice sharp transient like a hand clap with the uher and another similar mic, say an sm57. Look at the wave form in your DAW and this will point out to you whether it is in phase or not, if the waveform moves in the same direction as the sm57 then you're fine, if not reverse the cables and you'll be good to go.

Make sense?
