Hi there,
I'm looking at making a pultec clone.
Is there any places in Australia where you can buy good quality inductors for audio applications, as good as Cinemag/Sowter? Given the shipping costs and prices, surely someone in Australia is able to cover this?
Cheers

Harbuch in Sydney make decent transformers, don't know if they make inductors.
The choices are limited here. There are some distributors but it's usually at least the same price and takes as long because they don't seem to have a lot of stock at hand locally. Try ebay US for Sowter and the like. I just bought some Lundahl trannies from the US and the seller was happy to drop the shipping for a couple.
Also maybe try group DIY or Prodigy forums (it's called one or the other now) for reccos on where to get parts.
Maybe Myles Livingstone of the upper Zimbabwian replublic of music will chime in as he has built a few I believe and may know more. If you bang on a log he may drop in.
