Having recently acquired some vintage mics need to make some break out cables with these connectors.
Where do you guys get them from? Need female connectors in the mini din and larger rectangular shaped ones..
Have found some on Mouser but their filters for searching aren't really user friendly...
Thanks

Re: 3 pin mini & std DIN (tuchel connector)
Hi Dave,
I don't think you'll get them much cheaper than this site... includes free postage.
Large:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sennheiser-A ... 94e&_uhb=1
Small:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sennheiser-M ... 244&_uhb=1
Have a look thru here... you might find something cheaper.
http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Musical-Inst ... _PrefLoc=2
Note: With the small Tuchel make sure it has the screw on metal retaining ring.
I've seen some adapter cables sold with a standard 3 pin DIN socket... do not buy.
Apart from the obvious, connector falling out due to weight of cable, most mics have the body of the mic grounded thru that retaining ring.
Hope this helps

Hey Greg,
Thought I replied to this, my bad. Thanks for the links - think you might be right in the regard that won't get them much cheaper than shown. Been doing a fair bit of hunting but to no avail. Ah well, means to an end. Time to fire up the old iron.
cheers
