Hey brain trust!
I have a sytek mpx-4a preamp that is 110v. After a brief chat with Mike from sytek, it looks like it will cost about $350 to change to 230v because it is using an older obsolete transformer with no direct 230v replacement. It needs shipping to the US, modification and return shipping.
So... Does anyone know of a place in Sydney that I could plonk the transformer on the counter and make a 230v version of it? It isn't quite an off the shelf tranny. It appears that have dual secondaries (probably 15v to 18v) plus a winding for the phantom power.

could be cheaper to mod the phantom psu to a tripler and just use an off the shelf transformer. it would be a 30VA i imagine
