How to write a product review

Its rare that I find a review as comprehensive, detailed and informative as this:

Besides the fact that its for a particular brand/model, I just find that the essentials of digital transmission and conversion are explained in such a way that I can actually understand it - and the explanation in the manual is similar, but I can't understand the manual! Who can ever understand the manual?? Also, they explain all the little digital language bits, and cover the whole story of what's important to know about specs, and an expose of the way specs can be obfuscated in order to make the best (misleading) impression in search of a sale. In other words, it sounds honest.

This article has become a small reference for me to refer to when I want some technical details on the conversion debate.
