Rick's main site points out that TRM is the only mastering house this hemisphere with consecutively numbered Pultec EQ's.

I bet this is the only "professional" mastering house boasting 6 (count, em, 6!!!) Deadringer compressors, a pair of Deadringer parametic EQs and lets not forget, the famous Deadringer sonic enhancer.

I know its not the gear, its the bloke or gal BEHIND the gear, but this stuff sounds like my garage sale ad last year.

Ahh Pultec Schmultec..... don't you guys understand these people take your cd or dat and put it throught their Logic Console to give you the MAJOR STUDIO SOUND, just like you recorded it in a MAJOR recording studio. Come on Rick, when are you gonna get serious about your business and employ MAJOR equipment like the Logic console instead of those old secondhand eq's? I want the MAJOR STUDIO sound, but I can't afford to fly to the UK.

I like this checklist to see if you're up to the mastering standard. Take your time..

A. Do you know what pitch / frequency hrz is A 4 th octave, E5?
B. What are the 11 things that make a great mix?
C. What are the 4 pyramids that make the square of tools & dynamics?
D. What is the tempo vs delay time in 120 bpm, 90 bpm? (for different instruments to sound tight )
E. In which frequencies lay the muddiness in different instruments, so you take them out to have a clean mix?
F. Where is the Sonic Boom / Low Freq / Rumble? Which hertz, How much to take out? How much to pull up the bass or lower to get the exact right levels and Hertz ?
