Exactly - we either discuss topics as a public, interacting on a forum - or we are really discussing topics through Ricks set of views. Unless there are a set of rules.
I think it very fair to know what the rules are - I dont want to piss anyone off, which is very easy to do if you have a set of unknown rules, its bound to happen, and after being here for many years, the odds are closing in on me.
Plus - I'm bound to be the one who stokes the fire and gets in trouble!
Way too much passion for my own good
Always opening topics that are either ignored, or avoided - creating havoc.
It goes way back to school times for me..... I'm always in the shit.

Oh look Chris .. I don't want to make anybody frustrated stroppy or
Anything but happy really ..
I actually hate moderating the forum
Waiving the "I am displeased "stick
It brings no joy
Even more then that I F@#$ing hate logging on to
Forums where it's ok to be uncivil to a bunch of people
Using pseudo titles and names .
The thing to be carefull of with this forum is
We use our names .. It has a very wide circulation
And although it may feel like a bunch of Aussie blokes
Talking about knobs and stuff ..it's the Internet
It gets stored it gets logged .. If you don't think
Big brother is watching .. Do a vanity search one day
Everything anybody writes anywhere is stored away
For ever it seems so I don't want a forum like gearslutz
The forum rules are this ..
So we are clear
It's my forum and my rules .
Everything else is just a guideline for people to
Work in .
Inspirational websites..
I thought was a fairly
Easy title .. ?
But if you were actually looking for somewhere
To post your line .. With this stuff I don't think inspiration websites
Is the heading for it and to be fair I don't think we have any better
Heading ..so I figured f@#$ it let Chris run out his line while its
On his mind .. but really it's not the place for that line of things me thinks
I don't mind what your posting as an idea
It's important to discuss stuff outside our little
World of knobs
On another site I would probably scan it and muse on it
But I am not into cries of passion .. Heated arguements
Past an intial flash point that anybody is entitled to round here
if you post with Lots of links in a thread that invites big brothers
Web bots into our little world for constant
Attention and has us jumping in and out of the forum
things get messy in the forum
And that Is not my intention
Talking bout knobs and stuff .. Helping a brother or sister out
Free of any strings .. Building community where there
Wasn't one
is my intention with the forum
I have been doing that here for nearly 15 years
Without a set of locked down rules
I won't be writing rules ..
Just inviting kindness and patience
To be the prevailing wind .
Peace Chris

Re: You Victorians should be very worried.
Fair enough - my problem is I care way too much, care about many mates here, we are family.
Some Ive never met - but through interactions here, we have become buddies.
Ive learned to care about my clients, their futures, their art, direction, their poss mistakes, their shortcomings, their strengths, weaknesses , worries and concerns etc etc...
Ive spend decades in that mode - its nearly impossible to turn that switch off.
Anything that looks like a serious problem for our industry, my co-workers, my clients, sets my alarm bells off.
Even the environment that we reside in, raises my passions .
I just need to learn to bight my lip - and the horrible stuff that I know will impact us , let it slide by me.
but It really aint that easy.
Plus I'm a stroppy, overly passionate one - easy to fire up - all added together - not the best combo!
Trying though.
Peace - and understanding!

Chris I like you just the way you are.
Don't bight your lip, say it straight.
I want to thank you for reawakening my interest in good investigative journalism and the new "alternative media".
I switched off news media a few years ago, now with these new outlets it's time to participate and scrutinise again.
I also think your recent posts/threads have made the Forum even more interesting and something I want to engage with.
Keep up the havoc.

Re: We should be more than worried.
Ha !
Speaking of mates !
Kind words Jason - thanks.
Lip unbit - just for a few minutes...
Politics aside, now is not the time for heads in the sand, we are about to go into the wildest of times.
It was just fine for the last few decades where our living standards climbed and climbed - everything was just sunshine!
Its all about to radically change - for all of us! (forever)
The amount of nations about to fall into massive economic collapse is staggering - no BS.
The US is past the verge, most of Europe, Ireland, UK, Brazil,Indonesia,Japan,South Africa,Turkey etc etc.
Google - "where is Germany's gold" - that is an eye opener - all the gold that the Germans had stored in the US has been stolen by the US banks that caused the GFC!
The environmental challenges we face, unfolding climate change disasters.
Fukushima and the insane amounts of radiation pouring in the pacific every day, every year, unable to be stopped, every time it rains, more gets washed into the sea, the radiation is already really affecting the US, crops & milk having radiation rained down on them, seafood poisoned all through the northern pacific, people are stopping eating any seafood on the US west coast, dangerous radiation plumes traversing the globe in currents, coming down in rainfall on land through precipitation, huge spikes already in thyroid cancers in children the US west coast.
Meanwhile Japan borders on bankruptcy 257 billion in debt:14% increase in the debt interest cost in just one year!
Japan basically dropped a nuclear bomb on the planet - a slow exploding increasing bomb in the oceans.
And that is just the start - the fuel rods are in unknown condition, likely nuclear fission chain reaction!
Experts fear– that the crisis could also trigger the evacuation of the Fukushima Daini plant 10 km away.
And this is just the start, there is so much more to unfold as more radiation gets unleashed - for the next 40 years just from the 1 damaged reactor we are dealing with now.
....ahh - the next earthquakes??
Nothing is more important!
> just to mention a couple of staggering issues humanity is faced with....right now.
I hope everyone opens their eyes and does their homework .... get out of their comfort zones.. which are going anyway.
research research !
But Neves and Neumann's sound very nice indeed!
(no links - how am I doing Rick? - behaving?)
