Hi,

Have acquired cp70b and looking at how to get from Lismore to Sydney - anyone got any contacts who would be up for a the job at a reasonable cost?

or

What size of car would you need to transport - would it fit into a 323/golf sized hatch?

There are no road cases.

Cheers

This will NOT fit into a Golf sized hatch. It's nearly the same width at the keyboard as a normal sized 88 note piano, and although it splits in half, the two pieces are pretty big. They also are heavy, especially the harp section. I don't think I'd move one except in a small van or ute.
Lots of fun to play though.

Google backloads and have it brought down on a removalist truck as a backload, that way it will stay with the same truck and driver door to door, wrapped in blankets and strapped. Removalists do backloads to fill empty space in their trucks, you can often get a good deal.

Yeah it won't fit in a small hatch. I have one also and it IS heavy, both parts. I'd use a furnature removalist for sure. Will save you alot of dollars and they actually know how to move heavy items safley.
I recently had an EMT 140 plate moved form Sydney to Melbourne. A big item to move but it got here and was well taken care of. Cost a fair bit but a courier service would have cost alot more.

Enjoy the Cp70b, they sound great. Was it the one on ebay just recently?

Hi there,

As a reference....
I just got a small rack cabinet backloaded from Gosford up here to the Sunshine Coast.

One quote was $410 ... the other $380....I went with the $380 !
(but I can tell you I was pissed to have to pay that much.)

So...goodluck...those things are mothers !

Cheers
