Announcing New Sound Waves, a brand new regular meet up for modular synth enthusiasts in Sydney, NSW and surrounding areas.

Meeting monthly in Redfern, NSW, 10 minutes from Sydney CBD.

Focused on Eurorack, but anything modular or related is cool.

- Bring your gear!
- Lust after fellow wiggler’s gear!
- Trade patch ideas!
- Practice your performance skills!
- Practice your social skills!
- Bring spare modules, piles of cash or recently harvested live human organs (preferably your own) for the B/S/T.

There’s a mixing desk and PA available, and a projector and big screen available for video wigglers.

Our first meeting will be:

2 PM to 5 PM

Close to Redfern station and parking.

What to bring (if you can):

- Your modular!
- Patch cables (count 'em!).
- Headphones or your own amplification. There's a PA to share, but it'd be nice if there's a few other ways to listen.
- A power board. The venue has some, but more wouldn't hurt.
- Things to sell or trade.
- A gold coin donation.

AJ can you give us a report on how the first meet went? I work in my retail store on Sundays from 12:00 until 5:00 so I couldn't get along.

Sorry for the tardiness in keeping this thread updated - the day job got in the way.

The first 2 meets were awesome. Total blast, and some pretty cool "music" made along the way.

The next meet is Sunday the 13th of October 2013, from 2PM to 5PM. Same place as before. All details you need (and some pix) are on our blog:

After the first three are done we'll send out a couple of questions to the mailing list, to see how many people would like to attend, what days are best, and so on, so we can plan for future meets. We know there's people who can't make Sundays, so there'll definitely be some other days soon.
