Roland D-50 does not boot

Postby harry » Tue May 27, 2014 10:37 pm

Hey Guys,

I recently bought a neat D-50 off the internet - upon arrival, turning it on lights up the first 8 characters of the dual lcd as squares (no text, no boot sequence) and the machine is totally unresponsive. No button pressing (initializing etc) makes any change, there is no sound at all..

The seller seems honest - he says he tested it (played various patches, tested every key etc.)

It was sent interstate in a roadcase surrounded by foam in a cardboard box - no sign of transit damage,

Anyone ever have their D-50 exhibit this behavior? :(

Take the battery out for a couple of hours. It's a button cell on the bottom of the CPU board.
