I am just wondering what everyone does with there mics when they are not being used. I usually just leave mine on their stands, but I am starting to get some nice mics now am I'm not sure if I should be storing them else where. Thoughts!

Re: Mic storage
Most of my good mics are kept in individual wooden cases, it helps that my father is a cabinet maker and made me some neat, dovetail jointed cases, the rest are kept in several drawers with egg crate foam in the bottom.

Re: Mic storage
i have a drawers case (yeah im a live guy at heart)
then inside the case mics are organised per drawer as dynamic, condenser, ribbon, DI and stuff
and each mic is in a labelled pouch.
easy to move around
but also easy to lock up/ keep safe
and i keep a few silica gel pouches in each drawer and the important miss pouches
