Gents and Lady - anyone done / doing this?
I'm thinking an iPhone with external mic down near the exhaust outlet - probably need some windshielding....

I once recorded a hot rodded Customline with an EV 635a. I used a windsock. Sounded right! The Ev will handle anything.

I recorded a 1959 Tank Fairlane hearse doing a burnout with a Neumann U77 into a Revox B77.

How about whilst riding? It's a bit hard to strap a Revox to the back of the bike

I'm gonna try the iPhone (because I've got one...) - has anyone tried any of the external iPhone mics that are around now?

I use the Rode mic for the iPhone 4 and have found the rode software fairly flukey to begin with. More stable now.
Recordings are great as in useable.
