Magneto-optical Disks wanted (90mm)

Postby Futureman » Wed Jul 09, 2008 5:51 pm

This is a bit of a weird one, I'm helping out a friend who just bought an Akai S3200.. And he'd like to get a few disks for it..

As far as I can tell, there are 2 different sizes. The one he needs is about the size of a floppy (90mm)

Does anyone have a spare one of these, or know a good source to purchase one?

I've looked on the bay, but most people seem to be selling the 130mm size ones.

Regards

Mike

I will check at work. I think I saw a box full of these the other day, but one of the clean nuts may have already gone through the
storeroom. I am sure we used to have a couple of old MO drives at work and the media was with them.
No promises, but I will see what is what...

We have a few SCSI MO's in storage, I do need to use them to get the data off some of our disks before I sell them off, so it could be a while before I get around to it, I can't even remember whitch box they are in in there. Syquest I think... Big buggers, small hands, smell like cabbage.

Hi,
very sorry - I have been sick.

I asked one of the guys here and he said all the MO disks and drives were given away about 3 months ago.

I have to go over to one of the other offices next week so I will do a rummage of last resort then.

If I come up with anything they will be free, but it's not looking good at this point. I remember there
was a box with about 20 of these things plus a big chunky SCSI-1 drive and cables but I have
not been over to the other room since January.
