How can anyone justify this kind of price for a mini? You can even tell that the keys need re-bushing from the pics and the guy at Awave says his high prices are because all of his synths have been serviced, I doubt this one's had as much work as he'd have you believe.
I'd be very interested if the sale goes through on this one.
Anyway, just thought I'd share my thoughts.
EDIT; Listing's been deleted, interesting...

There was a bunch of vintage keys on there from Awave, some sweet ones including a Prophet V, but they were all at prices that I simply would never pay. I guess like they say, they are worth whatever someone will pay for them.
I don't really know if your average buyer even knows about things like bushings. I noticed the uneven keys on the moog only because I'm in the process of refurbing my Rhodes atm. It pays to research, research research. And then do some more research.

Hi there,
Yeah...Lewis from Awave has some nice synths for sale !
I'm not surprised by the prices ...these things are getting rarer.
When I sold my Model D 5 years ago for $3k I thought I was doing alright ;-)
But it was the PPG 2.3 and the Jupiter 8 for $1200 ea that I regret the most (that was about 10 years ago!)
Cheers

Has anyone here actually been into Awave? I went in there about 6 months ago and i've never seen such a collection of synths (in such amazing good condition).
I remember thinking, "wow I didn't know they were reissuing all these old synths (cause they looked brand new)". No its just an imaculate collection that are on display.
Is he selling them all off?

Wow.
I saw the Synthex auction when it was first listed and thought SPENDY!!!
Oh well, as has been said, prices are dictated by sales achieved.
As to Awave, yes it seems to be a veritable who's who of all time amazing synths.

I was speaking to a friend just last weekend who said they had been into Awave and Lewis had said he had stopped selling those synths so I was surprised to see those listings, I guess he changed his mind? He also mentioned how immaculate the synths were.

wow.... someone actually bid $6000 on that minimoog.
that's nuts.
as for the keys... yeah - new bushings time there! but I guess that not too much extra expense for someone who already prepared to drop $6k on it!
