Innerclock Systems Sync-Lock

Hi,
I am interested in sync-clock because it might tighten things up a bit.
But I am having a problem visualising how this will go together with my system.
Currently I have a Mac G5 with Logic Pro.
I use 3 AMT-8 MIDI interfaces chained to the G5 to create a 24 port interface.
I am not really using Logic for MIDI anymore, just audio. Or better put, I use Logic's environment to
do MIDI routing but I only record audio now to it.
So what I do instead is have my Octopus as the sequencer and it spits MIDI out back the Mac
and then the AMT-8's distribute everything to the right locations. So far this works pretty well.
The MIDI business seems to run pretty tightly but I think sync lock might help at the recording
stage, when I return the resulting audio back to Logic for recording.
So in this kind of workflow, how do I setup SyncLock?
Would I use an output from my Audio Interface (or the audio out from the mac itself) to send the sync tone to
the Synclock and then send the MIDI to one of the In ports of the Octopus, then clock it from that, then
proceed as usual?
What I don't get is how this would work if my Octopus is just sending all the MIDI back to the Mac to the AMT's .
I also use lots of gate pulses to trigger arpeggiators (System 100, SH-101, polysix etc) so I need MIDI to go to
the ports as such.
This setup would actually be in time or would there be latency involved?
I am hoping that when recording it would all be magically in sync this way, with synclock doing it's timing thing....

Hi Rachel - any way you can draw me a diagram with flow/data directions?
In particular - What needs Midi Clock and Midi Note Data?
Best - David.

hi David
This is what I need. I have just moved to Ableton and just re-bought a 606,909,xox,202,101 combo so would be great to sync it all up :-)
Do I need any other bits with my combo?
