Gauging interest for sale of Roland SH-101

Postby Hybrid88 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 11:28 pm

Hey T'Rockers,

Just a heads up, will have a grey Roland SH-101 for sale soon (maybe in a month or so), just seeing if there's any interest here. I'll probably end up sticking it on eBay, but if anyone here is seriously interested I'll try to give it priority - looking for $800 firm, pretty fair as I really just want to get back what I paid for it. Looking for a hassle free sale so no offers below the asking price please.

In pretty good condition, some quirks which you can expect in an instrument of this vintage, but I'll go into this further for anyone who's interested in buying.

Cheers,

Richard.

Does it have the mod grip, and is there any battery damage?

Hey Steve,

No mod grip, zero battery damage clean as a whistle in the battery compartment, no corrosion whatsoever.

It's actually in pretty good condition, no significant blemishes/scratches the main issue for me is that the grey has discoloured with age and the power switch causes a pitch deviation on startup, but it's stable if you leave it alone - a common problem apparently, and quite easily fixed for little money, but I'm just looking to sell now. These are very minor issues though and it was sold to me as fully functional, just trying to give a thorough description (which very few do on eBay).

I realise the price might seem high but like I said, I'm just trying to get back exactly what I paid for it only last year.

Cheers.

You mean now it's faded? Still grey, but with a greenish tinge - keep in mind I've never seen another grey 101 in the flesh so it could be common to all of them of this age, don't know.

In any case it is extremely minor fading, just enough to annoy a perfectionist like myself, and really no different from a vast majority of the pics you see of 101's on eBay. The best way to tell exactly how much it has faded is to take off the battery cover and compare the outside of the case to the inside of the battery compartment. Almost all the 101's on eBay which show the inside of the compartment have some degree of fading to the plastic. So I'm being really picky here, just want no returns on the sale.

Well, I meant is it a red one or a blue one or a grey one.

Don't worry about me, I'm just tire kicking.

Oh, I did think that at first, but then I have said already a number of times that it's grey in my previous posts.
