The LAMM overrides the MM+ so they say it is better to have the basic MM if you
want to LAMM it. And the shipping costs :(
It is something I will never afford and don't at all need, but it is
extremely desirable! It's a lucky score for you....
It's like one of those old cars.... ....I get the same vibe
from the MiniMoog and System 100....

Hi there,
Hybrid 88... I see you are from Launceston...the first ARP 2600 I ever played was owned by a guy in Taroona !
Wow, really? You're lucky if you don't get a really blank stare in Tas when you say you're into these things called "synthesisers". ;)
I often wonder how many people own vintage synths in Tas, or have a minimoog or something lying in their garage, particularly after I got an OSCar from a guy who lives near a place I go all the time, paid for it dearly thought as it got listed in eBay before I knew about it but still.
NYMo wrote:The ARP that is currently for sale is in Bris..at a price of $8k !
(I don't know the seller..but can find out if you are interested)
Oh, no definitely not interested in buying, actually got to get my Odysey up and going at some point. Just one synth I've never seen for sale in Aus before, the 2600.
NYMo wrote:...In fact I sold one to a guy in 1985 when I was working @Allans Music in Melb...
Ahh, the days when Allans sold quality gear, actually do they even have new moog synths these days?

Does it get hot? There's a guy I read about on AH who replaces MM fan units
with a modern hitech brushless computer style one and it drops straight in.
Waddyaknow?!

He's on the web now! Pending sales soon.......
I worry about when my synths get hot and I can't/won't turn them on.

The fan is pretty quiet, if it starts to bug me, I'll replace it.. Pretty simple job me thinks.
It does get a bit warm, but no more than my P5 or Emulator 1 or LinnDrum or
Yep, it's in Pristeeeeeene condition, used by a little old lady who played it every sunday at the local church. (not exactly, but it sure as hell has been looked after)
It sounds massive, very agressive and brash. Does the dull brooding thing well too..
The unison is so stupidly big and massive, almost unusable. You could use it in unison in a track, but there would not be much room left for other instruments.
Still, early days with it yet. I'd like to find a PDF of a MemoryMoog+ manual.. The standard MemoryMoog manual is easy to find, so the search for the + continues.
(I want to see if it can be taken out of Omni and a few other things)
Regards
Mike
