Sorry, i know this question has come up before (but can't find it in my forum searches).
An artist i have just finished recording is making a music vid so i would like to be sure of Australian production protocols like maximum level, ( is it -12 dB) in order to maximize the chances of getting airplay etc, and not sound too low in ref to the clip it might follow. When i did the audio for the i Surf DVD's i set the level at - 6dB. Is it standard to send a specific "for TV broadcast " version and have your Youtube version at a "normal" max level......... what do i need to know?
Thanks.

-10db peak or the station will reject it, well, they *should* reject it....
Youtube version will probably need a 2 to 3 frame offset if you want to maintain sync. As far as standards... Youtube is the most unregulated mish-mash you will ever find.
When doing music related video projects I bounce out one version at -10 for boradcast and one at 0 for the DVD.
