Let's talk modulars !

Although they are not vintage....they are based on a vintage design.
I thought we could share some specs for various brands of systems and keep as a reference for others who maybe thinking of catching the bug !

Mine is sort of an old school Klaus Schultze type ...but newly made in Texas by Roger Arrick (who's main business is robotics!

It consists of
4 x q 106 oscillators with very fine calibration plus 4 Q141 oscillator aids (makes changing waveforms easier)
4x filters
Q 150 Moog type filter
2 x Q 107 12db multi filter
Stg labs Sea Devils filter ( based on Ems)
4 x Q109 envelope generators
4 x Q 108 vca
2x Q 105 slew limiter (porta mento)
2x Q 960 24 stage sequencers ( based on Moog 960)
2 x Q 962 sequential switches
Q 171quantiser bank
Q 172 quantiser aid with midi out
Q 104 midi to cv interface
Q 125 signal processor
Q 110 noise generator
Q 116 ring modulator
Q 117 sample and hold
Q 130 clipper / rectifier ( for squashing a wave to make the attack harder)
Q 118 instrument interface ( triggering synth for guitar / drum machine mic etc)
Q 112 4 channel mixer
Q 113 8 channel mixer
2 x Q 124 multiples
Cynthia Labs sawtooth animator ( this is amazing...makes sawtooth waves really fat !)
Ssl 1250 Quad Lfo

This system is lots of fun and is based on a Moog Modular

Well speaking of Modular Synthesisers I have it on good authority (well an email from a touring management/consulting group) that the worlds most famous Modular Moog and it's owner will be touring here this year.

Now I've been hearing stories like this for 40 years (since The Nice), but maybe this time it will happen

I live in hope
