Understood. A type 2 in the rack will also give you gain adjustment, but it's probably also worth thinking about either keeping the TP type 1 or hunting for a 3rd Trimax type 1 since LCR is always handy (e.g decca tree, spaced pair with centre fill, etc) and you have the additional slot in the rack anyway. Sorry, I don't have any trimax amps to swap, but if you do decide to sell at any stage please let me know!
Cheers.

Hey Bob,I bought the fleabay ones to have a play with. I'll be interested to see how they sound.
Now for a rack to mount them,
Barney, have you still got one or did Evan grab it?
Or does anyone else have a spare?

Hi Alistair,
I still have it but Ev has grabbed it we just haven't caught up yet. The other ones I racked I just cleaned up the brass pins soldered onto them and covered with heat shrink.
Time permitting I'd like to compare the Trimax to the Transmission Products and see what the differences are.

Some of these line amplifiers I saw in the old ABC radio master control in Lonsdale St in Melbourne I was informed had
been on continuously for decades...so reliability is probably not an issue.....

Re: ?ABC? Trimax Mic-Pres
Anyone thought about making up a REDD17 style mixer using these modules in place of the V72, or whatever those German things are called?
I started hatching a crazy plan along these lines... REDD17 Ozzie version... hmm ....
Anyone got detailed info on the overall block diagram / signal flows etc?
