Hey all,
I recently installed an io midi / patch kit into my jupiter 4,
I know a few of you have done this already, was wondering if anyone noticed a change in sound?
In particular, previously my chorus was a bit louder when engaged, now it is the same volume (in relation to clean sound)
Also, it seems to hold tune better - somehow sounds smoother and clearer - ie harder to distort the output..
Now that i have this io thing happening, does anyone have any suggestions as far as cool stuff / patches etc..
Was hoping that the arpegiator could be scaled to play over 1,2,3, or 4 octaves (like a jup6)...

Re: Jupiter 4 with io
Hi Steve,
It took a couple hours as there is no block diagram provided, just a pdf that shows photos step by step.
Trouble is - the leads and parts in the kits are different to those in the picture so i wanted to make sure i was wiring it correctly - ie leads different colour to those shown etc..
The blue socket that hoses the little board 8048 is tricky to align to the headers that raise the board..

They are tricky machines, in my 5 least favourite synths to fix, they do sound fantastic though.
