Hi, just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent power board as the ones I have are crap. So what everyone using & where are you buying them from.

Re: Power boards?
I have about 10 of the Jackson 8 port boards from Bunnings - they're fairly robust (metal case) and the sockets fit well, but I've had 2 burned out on/off switches in the last 5 years.... about $50 each so there's probably better out there

Re: Power boards?
What constitutes crap? I use whatever I have at hand, from modular rack mount jobbies to $5 reject shop ones. Never really had issues until they get physically damaged and that's only the ones I use for stage power. Frequent plug-in and out, spilt beer, the usual.

Cheap plastic ones. I would like some sort of metal chassis power board, maybe an electrical wholesale shop will sale them.

Re: Power boards?
For live sound I use the cheap plastic ones, they do fail but they would get wrecked on stage anyway. In the studio I have some metal chassis rack mounted ones and a heap I bought at an auction for $2.00 by a company called Schiavello Interpower that plug together to make up strips as big or small as you want. I have about 50 of them and about 10 mains cords so I have some mounted verically inside racks and others, jus available to make up power boards as required. Unfortunately, I believe they are no longer being made but if you see some, grab them, they are excellent quality boards.

They are still in that catalogue, so maybe they are still available
