Help with identifying connector. IC socket style.

Postby Futureman » Wed Jul 31, 2013 8:30 pm

Hey all.

I need some help with identifying a connector.

Imagine a ribbon cable going into an IC.. That's it.

I realize it's an IDC style (insulation displacement connector) and the pitch is 2.54mm (0.1"), but I'm having no luck finding this style in mouser..

Any thoughts?

I need 16 way, preferably gold plated.

Regards,
Mike

Jaycar ( of all places ) used to sell these. But I can't see them in the current catalog. I have a couple here if you get stuck. They are in my AMS repair kit...

I used to get them from Jaycar too, 16 pin DIP headers. I hope they still have them, I need a bunch to fix up my AMS delay so I can sell it!

http://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Kobi ... jKQiu6o%3d

Mouser has em, in gold.

I've used X-on.com.au to purchase mouser for a flat rate of $15 postage.

I've got 2 or 3 in my stash, but i need to replace a few in this Arp Quadra.

Steve, if you need a handful, I can order from X-On and we can split it..

Sure, did you see a price? I need 22 of them but if they are crazy expensive I could get away with less.

$1.03 each.

It looks like none are in stock, but they have 813 on order.

It may take 12 weeks before they have them in stock.

I personally can wait 12 weeks, if you are fine with that - I'll order them when back in stock.

Mike.

Try http://www.rockby.com.au/
stock# 14638
Not sure if gold plated ......

Evil site to search for parts on, but have lots of odd ball stuff tucked away in the back blocks....
eg Jones connector for an otari remote anyone? ( how I found em!)
