Ok so I am a genius .. It will be written somewhere some time
By somebody after this post or perhaps about the post
I stole the tip from .. But I digress

Adhesive shielding copper tape for guitars mic pres
Ribbon microphone mods you name it DIY
and I am sure
If your reading this post you know you have been meaning to get
Some .. But where ..? it's expensive .. ?

I bought a small piece from dimarzio to shield one guitar
But it was $30 ? Wtf

I gave nick Franklin my little collection of mu metal
Shields

But here it is 10 meters of slug tape
for DIY men .. 12 bucks at bunnings !

Don't start a copper rush .. There is enough for everybody

Slug barrier ..
I am brilliant !

Slugs are a pain, one hitchhiked on the back of our cat a while back and dropped off when the cat went to sleep on my bed, came in to find a *long* trail of silvery slime all over my doona with the slug still at the end of it, thanks cat.. haha

Hey Chris, Why did you line the cavities with copper? I'm not a tech but I love guitars.

Because strat's are a noise magnet and in my limited knowledge at the time, I thought the copper lining might cut back the noise a bit. The back of the pick guard was already lined when I bought it so I just lined the wood in the cavity as well.

.....just a quick thought..... :-B ......I'm hoping the glue used on the slugga won't disolve the plastic on your ribbon ties?
