Dodgy Yamaha RX11 volume slider

Postby justmull » Fri Dec 27, 2013 5:13 pm

I have a Yamaha RX11 drum machine and the left channel only outputs if I press and hold quite firmly on the volume slider. Affects both the stereo out and headphone out. I'm not the best solderer and so not that keen to replace the slider or chase up parts etc - is there anything else anyone can recommend I should try before attacking it?
Thanks!

Not really, you probably need to re-flow the solder on the slider terminals which is not a big job, if that doesn't work then the slider needs to be removed and dismantled and cleaned or replaced.

Hmm reflowing the solder sounds not too hard, I'll try that first. Thankyou once again Steve!
