Yamaha yc45d

Just picked up a yc45d but it's got a few issues I want to try fix before taking it to a tech.

Bass section doesn't work on the keyboard or when using bass pedals. There is a very faint sound when my amp is turned up.

Only 1/3 of the ribbon controller works

The upper manual sustain doesn't work.

Any have any experience with these problems?

Yamaha have all their service manuals online.. So that's a plus.

I've got a 45d too (no bass pedal tho)

I don't have any tips to offer, except disconnect and reconnect the bass pedals.

Great keyboard, and (from my experiences) very reliable.

Check the globe is working for the side to side pitch vibrato on the top manual too.

So got the bass section to work, a previous owner decided to remove the volume pedal and in doing so installed a hidden separate output jack for the bass section.

Now to fix that portamento ribbon......

Gets some great sounds out of it!!
Previous owner sold it as faulty, bass section and most of the dividers not working... play around with it once home, turn off the piano preset tab and presto, all good :) Got to remember that for next time....
