Neutrik Bantam TT Crimp - Correct Cable?

Hey All,

I've finally gotten around to making some TT leads..

I've got a heap of these neutrik TT jacks - they are solder termination for T/R and Crimp (RG58) for the Sleeve.

I looked at the assembly manual, and unless i'm going blind, i can't see any info about what cable is compatible.

Does anyone have any info as far as the best (and quickest) way to terminate these plugs? i've got 60 to do...

Hi there I would use some canare L2E5 mic cable. It's only 4.6 mm thick. It should work a treat for those connectors

I found that (according to the assembly guide) the plastic sheath goes into the connector with the shield wires bent back over the sheath (therefore making contact with the housing once it is crimped.
It seems to be too tight or too loose with every cable I've tried (my cable is also 4.6mm)

i've resorted to stripping an inch and a bit of the sheath, then wrapping the length of shield around the wires to form enough of a diameter of wire to make contact with the housing.. then i solder the earth wire to the back of the housing in addition to the crimp .. this is really slooooow..

I'll have to try and find some wire that is say 4mm and see how i go..
