A custom built fully discreet console from the 1970's built by a close associate of Graham Thirkle. Uses the best componentry of the day including Gardiner transformers.... looks like a cross between a Helios and an EMI console with big vu's and has the T bar faders for master and groups and big bakerlight rotary faders for the channels. It is only 12 x4 x2 but the optro sidecar console i have put together from modules i have will give me enough to play with for the setup i intend for it..... best of analogue and digital. The computer as the hub with the advantage of automation recall etc and the desk for fat analogue tracking and mixing / summing.

There was a Helios console on ebay last week. Looks like a tank the way it was built.

I saw that Helios. All line amps and no mic pre's.
I will post some pics here soon. Its a work in progress at the moment. I have had a play with it and it's a great sounding desk but has a few issues to sort out
like most old gear.

Well the Amek didn't sell.....quite a few people interested but they are hanging back hoping for a bargain i think. Good luck to them but i'm not dropping the price any lower. I have been hanging back thinking it would go but i guess i will have to get serious and put in a patch bay, etc. Still going to get this old desk going though. When i get the pics organized i will start a thread in DIY.......gee i will have a nice set up won't i..... old thingy for tracking....Amek for mixing.......
