Just thought I would announce, that I have just nervously ordered what will be my first DIY attempt. The JLM BA4.

The only thing I can recommend .... for every component, double check its value, its location and orientation. Its so easy to rush and make a mistake and much much harder to work out where you went wrong later.

Boy, I've made four of these bits, now on to the other bits.

It's kinda really enjoyable and at the same time, really frustrating.

Yep definitely can be frustrating.
But also so many great kits around..and support..it can feel very rewarding.

I have FINALLY finished my JLM BA4.

Well, when I say I, I had so much help, that I should barely say "I". But I have learned so much about the process. In reflection I think I should have started with a single preamp, but it's done now and patched into the studio and all sounding might fine.

Hi,

The floor is the click together type. It's a really beautiful one, we get a lot of comments about that floor when people walk into the control room.
