CPU monitor noises

Postby Zarven Kara » Tue Dec 01, 2015 2:00 pm

Ok here is one for you. All of a sudden my left monitor started making some strange noise like static. It stops when the computer is not linked up to the system. Whats more when I turn the monitor volume up the noise decreases and when the monitor is anywhere over running at half way it stops! Any ideas on this one would be appreciated...

cheers

Well today it just disappeared, the noise floor on my tape machine on the other hand is still about as loud as a coffee grinder at work. Maybe t I wait long enough it will fix itself too? + 1 for digital..... ;)

Hi Chris, yes it simply fixed itself, thanks. Im assuming that it had something to do with a driver. I had just installed waves control centre and Real Verb and after that the problem started. Now it just stopped. Cant explain it. I installed El Capitan for mac and now its all good again. The only thing is now the Lexicon PCM Plugins have a bug with El Capitan and the FX reverb screen won't shut so I have to move then all into the corner, so I end up having a pile of 7 reverb screens open but there are worse things in life.......
