one inch 8/16 track - nope 24 it seems

Postby aside » Tue Apr 19, 2016 11:54 am

Hey guys,

An ABC contact has a one inch tape, they may need it transferred. No info on track config but I'm guessing 8, could be 16. Anyone still running a machine?

Cheers,
Anton

I have a 1" 8 track, Scully 280 and a 1" 24 track Fostex G24S, but I'm in the Clare Valley in SA.

Plus, both machines are currently packed away, so it would need to be a worthwhile project to unpack them and set them up.

If it's 16 track I may be able to help. I stress "may", because I had to strip thing down in a hurry back in January due to water ingress into our music area (second time in the last seven or so years) and I haven't totally connected everything back up yet.
ChrisO.....I think. Oh, and F*#K Google, ask me!

Yeah Simon, I don't think Rick likes the products of the TEAC Audio Systems Corporation of America, and their acronym is automatically altered here, :)

On a related note, that organisation and their parent company TEAC, are now owned by Gibson. Small world.
