I was looking through some of Robs projects from the link in the "WTB- MCI500 ch strips" thread and saw the rack of Hill J Series Console strips. The only Hill I know of was In the Espy front room in the 80's and early 90's. Unusual desk and a real beast, but that whole system including the Hill sounded fantastic and I don't think the espy front room ever sounded as good once they took it out. Any one else here mix on that Hill or am I just showing my age?? I suppose you wouldn't know Rob, If those Hill modules are from the Espy console?

well the front bar system they had in there before it closed down was certainly lacking, never had a great night mixing there, The Basement and the Gersh ruled though

I had the pleasure of gigging there a lot in the early nineties. Was a good sounding setup & the desk was a big part of that winning sound. It was a 3 way Nova rig from memory with Nova cabinets, amps, xovers & graphics.
It was the only Hills console I came across in the wild.

I saw Bjorn Again's first gig at The Tote in Melbourne, when I was looking after the PA. That would have been '87 or '88. It was funny because they hadn't got the characters down yet; the one who looked like Benny they called Bjorn and vice versa. Anyway, they had their own guy who, oddly enough, didn't want to use the Electrovoice BK that was installed at the time. He brought in a console and, if I recall correctly, it was a Hills.

If memory is working correctly these were racked for Tony ( Princetown ) ages ago. I never gave a passing thought to where they came from. There was never any documentation.
Tony may still have them ....
