Dda dmr12 VU meter wiring
A longshot but I'm wondering if anyone has much experience wiring the vu meters on the dmr12. The vu's are set up to be pre-everything on channels and I'm wondering if there's a way to wire the vu's to be post-eq (or at least post-gain) - they are a bit useless to me at the moment monitoring the dry input signal...

hi mate
on mine the meters where pre fade group output im (nearly) certain
pre everything on the input ch sounds like someone has changed things around.
i had full manual, which went with the console when i sold it to another forum member (hobart uni)
they may chime in?

VU's on Gareth's (now our) DDA are on the group outs.
I have a copy of the schematics / service manual at work that I can post a link to next week if helpful.
They could, I'm pretty sure, be attached to the top of any of the channel strips though so if they're pre-fader on the input side it would be a simple enough fix to re-configure them on the returns.

Re: Dda dmr12 VU meter wiring
Yeah okay that makes sense... Mine are definitely wired on the input channels rather than the groups. I figured moving them over to the groups would alleviate the problem to a degree. Still was hoping there was a way to do it on the input channels themselves as 32 vu meters won't be entirely useful just on the groups...
I have most of the manual I think (but it isn't helping me a help of a lot unfortunately). There's 4 pins on the vu mta on each card, only two of which are wired - I'm wondering if maybe it's a matter of swapping this around... No mention in the manual of that though.
