So, with the amazing help of David McCluney I'm finally making progress with the first of my two 1978 MCI JH-110A-8 1" machines, after stashing them away in the too-hard-basket for a few years.
We've got the first transport purring like a kitten and ready to tackle the audio side. I thought now would be a good time to connect with any other local MCI owners to swap advice, war stories etc - especially those with similar machines to mine.
I'm also keen to hear from anyone who's machine is housed in a Rus Lang cabinet (like the one in the photo - not my machine but identical)... I'm rebuilding one, and planning to build another one from scratch, and I have a couple of questions about the cabinet design.
