out of interest what where you thinking to bid to?
im not surprised by the sale price (not saying i think it was worth it, just that im not surprised that it sold for that) in fact i would have actually expected it to go for more.

im coming from this thinking that (for instance) the shirt that some actor wore in brokeback mountain is going to auction this week and expected to fetch 26k. so. 26k for a shirt that someone wore (prob worth say $260 at most ie: adding two zeros) is that console worth 18k - id say absolutely! plus two zeros for "fame" count me out.

of course plenty of other ways to look at it. but i imagine you get my point.

I had access to about a 1/3 of the selling price in funds to invest, but I figured that it was unlikely that it would sell that cheap given the history. Will be interesting to see where it ends up.
